Under the thick leaves of forest trees a young man and woman are totally engrossed in a passionate embrace.

In the Renaissance a change took place in the portrayal of Original Sin. Instead of the central place being taken by the tree of knowledge in the middle, and a large Adam and Eve on either side, the central place was given up to Adam and Eve and the tree moved to the side.
